Understanding the diverse responses among some major tree species under higher foliar microplastic deposition - Dataset

Abstract

The results includes detailed data on total airborne microplastics (AMPs) accumulation on leaf surfaces of different plant species, species-specific retention and wash-off dynamics following rainfall simulation, distribution of surface particulate matter (SPM), and correlations between AMPs accumulation and measured biochemical parameters such as chlorophyll content, relative water content, leaf extract pH, and ascorbic acid levels. Principal component analysis results further illustrate the association between biochemical traits and AMP retention across different plant species.
