The serious game Elements in mind – The Periodic Table in your head - is designed as a tool for the first approaches to chemistry and to familiarize with the elements of the periodic table. The difficulty level fits for primary and lower secondary school students. It is a digital game portable HTML application, based on the concept of memory, which proposes to combine the right pair name-symbol of the element. The game is composed of eighteen pairs with the most common or intriguing elements. Upon the creation of each pair, a curiosity about the specific element is provided. Instructions for playing and four game scenarios that differ in the curiosity given for each element are provided. The hypothesized game modes are multiple and allow you to play individually (against the clock) or in a group (all against all or as teams). The game can be implemented with new elements and/or new curiosities about the elements, thanks to the interest of the participants.
