
Abstract As part of the global action on climate change, India has committed to achieving net zero emissions by 2070. This commitment will not only help India achieve its environmental goals but also pave the way for a green economic transition, ensuring sustainable development in the future. However, to achieve these goals, businesses must join hands to implement social responsibility effectively and with focus. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in India has gradually shifted from a charitable activity to a green development strategy, in compliance with Indian law. The article “Corporate Social Responsibility – A Key to India’s Green Economy Transition” focuses on the current state of corporate social responsibility in India, its role in the path to green economy, and some recommendations to improve the effectiveness of CSR implementation in the context of India’s green economic transition.
