The deliverable addresses the role of standards in trade agreements and other forms of international collaborations, e.g. digital partnerships. On the one hand, the review of the limited literature provides the base for developing a conceptual model of the linkages between trade agreements and international standards. On the other hand, the screening of the literature revealed several databases, which allow linking international standards to trade agreements. After their assessment, a methodological approach has been developed and tested to link standardisation organisations and standards to trade agreements and other forms of cooperation, e.g. digital partnerships. Then, the process is described how the output of the presented approach will be integrated into the work of the European Task Forces, but particular the International Task Forces. The report closes with an outlook to next steps.
