The EU-funded MARINEWIND project aims to accelerate the market uptake of Floating Offshore Wind Technologies (FOWTs) in Europe by investigating existing barriers and enablers stemming from regulatory, socio-economic, environmental, financial and technological aspects. By establishing an ongoing dialogue with the stakeholders from the five MARINEWIND Labs - Greece, Italy, Spain, Portugal, and United Kingdom - the project will provide actionable recommendations to advance Floating Offshore Wind studies, identify socio-economic externalities and increase the level of social acceptance of the technology amongst local communities. By joining the MARINEWIND Webinar, participants will: Learn about the latest MARINEWIND project results. Engage in meaningful discussions with experts about the future of FOWTs. Understand the main national-specific barriers and enablers for the uptake of FOWTs. Increase awareness about the potential benefits of FOWTs. Collect exclusive best practices and insights for the shaping of integrated RES policies.
