FAIRe Forschungsdaten aus Goethes Posteingang: Die ersten 2400 An-Briefe als TEI-XML-Volltexte

Abstract

Mit Veröffentlichung der "Releaseversion 1.0" im September 2024 stellt die Editions- und Forschungsplattform PROPYLÄEN: Goethes Biographica nicht nur eine verbesserte und erweiterte Version, sondern erstmals auch ein umfassendes TEI-XML-kodiertes Korpus von Forschungsdaten frei lizenziert zur Verfügung. Das bis 2039 angelegte Großprojekt vereint vier ursprünglich eigenständige Editionen: Goethes Tagebücher, seine "Begegnungen und Gespräche", An-Briefe und Von-Briefe. Der mit der Releaseversion veröffentlichte Datensatz umfasst 2406 Briefe an Goethe, samt strukturierter Metadaten, Regesten und Digitalisatverweisen. Die TEI-Daten sind unter Nutzung moderner Technologien wie Transkribus und OCR4all entstanden, mit Normdaten umfassend angereichert und in Webservices wie bspw. correspSearch integriert. Die PROPYLÄEN-Plattform wird kontinuierlich weiterentwickelt, fortlaufend aktualisiert und um zusätzliche Datensätze aus allen Teil-Editionen erweitert. Das Poster gibt einen Überblick über das TEI-Korpus und bietet einen Ausblick auf die kommenden, noch sehr viel umfangreicheren Forschungsdaten aus dem PROPYLÄEN-Vorhaben. Dabei werden die technologischen, methodologischen und editorischen Prinzipien vorgestellt und erste Auswertungen der Daten präsentiert.
