
This article reflected on Carl Rogers' Contribution of the Person-Centered Approach (PCA), where the importance of dealing with interpersonal relationships and the valuation of the human being are verified, with the assumption that there is an upward inclination in it, where it is certified that the person tends to grow, to develop his potential in a positive way. For child psychotherapy, we sought to understand the influence of the psychologist's approach of the Person-Centered Approach on the dynamics of the child psychotherapeutic process, as well as the investigation of the PCA method in the person in the practice of infantile psychotherapy; the reflection on the structure of the therapeutic environment, the description of the psychologist's attitudes in this process and finally the analysis of his attitudes within the context of this approach and its effects on the dynamics of the child psychotherapeutic process. The study was developed based on the bibliographical research and as a result it was verified that the accompaniment of the Person-Centered Approach child psychotherapist provides a positive development of the child's emotional, cognitive and self-esteem competences, the balance of anxiety, also promoting the ability to be more assertive. It is confirmed that investment in psychotherapy favors the construction of self-knowledge for the child, feeling greater pleasure for life and that, consequently, improves the quality of experiences and relationships with others, contributing to the formation of an autonomous adult, with wisdom and security to make healthy choices.
El presente artículo reflexiona sobre la contribución del enfoque centrado en la persona (ECP) de Carl Rogers, donde se verifica la importancia con que se consideran las relaciones interpersonales, la valorización del ser humano, cuyo supuesto es que en él existe una inclinación actualizante, es decir, que la persona tiende a crecer y desenvolver su potencial de manera positiva. Se buscó comprender la influencia de las actitudes del psicólogo que trabaja desde el enfoque centrado en la persona en la dinámica del proceso psicoterapéutico infantil; para lo que se realizó una reflexión sobre la estructura del ambiente terapéutico, una descripción de las actitudes del psicólogo durante este proceso y un análisis de sus actitudes en el contexto de este enfoque y de sus efectos en el proceso psicoterapéutico infantil. Este estudio fue desarrollado a partir de una investigación bibliográfica. Sus resultados verifican que el acompañamiento del psicoterapeuta infantil del enfoque centrado en la persona proporciona un desarrollo positivo de competencias emocionales, cognitivas y de autoestima en el niño, regulando la ansiedad y promoviendo también la capacidad de ser más asertivo. Se confirma que la inversión en psicoterapia favorece la construcción del autoconocimiento en los niños, la que promueve en ellos un mayor placer por la vida y en consecuencia mejora la calidad de las experiencias y de las relaciones con otros, contribuyendo para la formación de un adulto autónomo con sabiduría y seguridad para hacer elecciones saludables.
