Hvordan bygge en klimahistorie - En praktisk guide

Abstract

Fortelling er kunsten å fortelle historier for å formidle erfaringer, ideer, tanker og verdier på en engasjerende måte. I stedet for bare å presentere kunnskap eller informasjon, inneholder historier menneskelige og relaterbare elementer som resonnerer med publikum på et emosjonelt og personlig nivå. Dette fremmer empati, medfølelse og etablerer en felles forståelse. Klimafortellinger bruker fortelling for å kommunisere temaer knyttet til klimaendringer. For mange føles klimaendringer abstrakte, fjerne og komplekse, noe som gjør det vanskelig å informere, utdanne eller engasjere dem på en måte som virkelig treffer. Fortelling gjør det mulig å formidle kompleks vitenskapelig data, modellresultater og kunnskap til den tiltenkte målgruppen. Denne tilnærmingen bidrar til å "bygge bro" mellom vitenskap og samfunn. Denne praktiske veiledningen støtter klima-tilpasningspraktikere i å utvikle sine egne klimafortellinger med mål om å øke bevisstheten om klimatrusler og planlagte løsninger, eller motivere folk til å handle. Veiledningen er utviklet som en del av det europeiske forskningsprosjektet REACHOUT, der en metode for klimafortellinger ble utviklet, evaluert og forbedret. Eksempler fra seks europeiske byer i dette prosjektet fremheves gjennom veiledningen.
