Abstract

Das 18. Internationale Symposium für Informationswissenschaft (ISI 2025) fokussiert das Rahmenthema „Datenströme und Kulturoasen – Die Informationswissenschaft als Bindeglied zwischen den Informationswelten“ und spiegelt damit die zentrale Rolle der Informationswissenschaft in einer zunehmend digitalisierten und vernetzten Gesellschaft wider. Die Themen der Beiträge umfassen wissenschaftliche Praxis und Methodik, Desinformation und soziale Medien, Datenmanagement, Datenvisualisierung, Informationsverhalten, Bildung, Digitalisierung und Informationsqualität. Traditionell richtet sich das Symposium neben dem klassischen wissenschaftlichen Tagungsprogramm mit Vorträgen, Posterpräsentationen und einer Paneldiskussion insbesondere auch an Nachwuchswissenschaftler und Nachwuchswissenschaftlerinnen und integriert ein studentisches Programm sowie ein Doktorandenkolloquium. Ferner wird auch dieses Jahr wieder der Gerhard-Lustig-Preis für die beste Masterarbeit in der Informationswissenschaft der letzten zwei Jahre vergeben. Die Tagung wird an der Technischen Universität Chemnitz durchgeführt. Chemnitz bietet dabei als Kulturhauptstadt Europas 2025 ein besonderes und besonders passendes Ambiente.
