Archibishop Piotr Mańkowski (1866-1933) as a representative of the Liturgical Movement in Poland. Bishop Piotr Mańkowski (1866-1933) was not a widely known hierarch of the Catholic Church. It was mainly due to a political-historical context of the times he lived in. However, the pastoral activity and writing of Bishop Piotr resulted in his becoming a permanent part of the history of the Liturgical Movement in Poland. Even though the works of Bishop Mańkowski are nowadays forgotten, in times of his activity he was an extraordinary example of remaining faithful to the preaching of the Church and liturgical regulations.
