Disruptores endocrinos y su impacto en especies acuáticas

Abstract

Los Disruptores Endocrinos (DE) son compuestos químicos que se encuentran presentes en la vida cotidiana dispuestos como productos de uso comercial; provocan alteraciones en los organismos a nivel individual y de comunidad. Se conoce muy poco de los problemas que genera los DE en los ecosistemas, por lo tanto, este trabajo se centra en documentar bibliográficamente los compuestos más utilizados, así como las alteraciones frecuentes en los organismos acuáticos. Además, el estudio está basado en dos dimensiones, descriptivo y exploratoria, la metodología desarrollada está enfocado en dos niveles generales: el primero orientándose en la sistematización documental de los temas fundamentales DEs y el segundo en la agrupación de los distintos productos que contienen los compuestos DEs existentes en el mercado. Las alteraciones más frecuentes en los organismos acuáticos provocados por la exposición a los DEs son de tipo genético-reproductivo, entre las que destacan: retrasos de reproducción, malformaciones genitales, reducción de vida en embriones y de conteo de esperma. Los compuestos de uso comercial más estudiados pertenecen al grupo de los pesticidas, debido a su amplia variedad y propagación a nivel mundial originando múltiples problemáticas ambientales.
