
Progressive poetess, human rights activist and authoressFemida Riaz was born in July 1945 in Meerath (India). HerFather Riazuddin was transferred to Haiderabad Sindh(Pakistan) and he settled there permanently. She le arntUrdu, Persian, Sindhi and Hindi languages. She wrote morethan 15 books on various topics. She translated Iranianpoetess Farogh Farrokhzad's selected poetry under the titleof 'Khuly Darichay' and Maulana Rumi's Persian Divanunder the title of 'Khana-e-Aab-o-Gil'.
