To attract more travelers in Public Transport, the European project Collective Innovation for Public Transport in European Cities (CIPTEC) makes a contribution to a more marketing oriented PT-sector, that involves many intraand intersectoral partnerships and uses innovativeness. CIPTEC identifies, among other things, potential innovations that can be introduced in PT. One of the most potential innovations that came forward is Mobility as a Service. This paper describes the CIPTEC project, gives an in-depth consideration of MaaS and describes a practical application of MaaS in the Netherlands.
