Abstract

Überlegungen zur Dalit Ästhetik und Kunst Ohne Zweifel kann man die neue Ästhetik der Dalit Kultur im Bereich der Bildenden Künste als ein neues Phänomen der indischen Kunstgeschichte bezeichnen. Die Etablierung von Formen ästhetischer Intelligibilität jenseits des Mainstreams stellt eine Möglichkeit dar gesellschaftliche Strukturen zu beeinflussen. Basiert die Dalit Kunst nun allein auf der Notwendigkeit zum Widerstand gegen Ungerechtigkeit und Unterdrückung oder finden sich in der ästhetischen Erfahrung und künstlerischen Ausdruck dieser gesellschaftlichen Gruppe kulturelle Werte und Prinzipien, welche der internationalen Kunstwelt bislang (zumeist) unbekannt sind? Welche inneren und äußeren Faktoren beeinflussen, verändern, beleben und beeinträchtigen die Formulierung und Definierung einer Dalit Ästhetik und welche Formen der Transzendierung dieser Grenzen findet die Dalit Kultur im indischen Kulturraum und schafft somit einen Rahmen, in welchem eine Entgrenzung ihrer Kunst stattfinden kann?
