This presentation was delivered as a lightning talk at ZKM Karlsruhe on Thursday, February 6, 2025, as part of the Workshop on New Media Art Archiving. It explores the challenges faced by small and medium-sized cultural organizations in connecting with larger ecosystems for open heritage knowledge. It also provides the outline of a blueprint for archiving media art on Wikimedia projects and/or private instances of the MediaWiki software. Developed by an international group of experts, the blueprint aims to provide clear guidelines for sustainable collaboration and resource sharing. It is currently in progress and will be published as an open resource.
