Abstract

Die Open Researcher and Contributor ID (ORCID) hat sich binnen der letzten Jahre zu einem globalen Standard der Autorenidentifikation in der Wissenschaft entwickelt, der ebenfalls in Deutschland eine hohe Verbreitung findet. Das Projekt ORCID DE trägt maßgeblich zu dieser Entwicklung bei, u. a. indem es die Gründung des von der Technischen Informationsbibliothek (TIB) Hannover geführten ORCID Deutschland Konsortiums initiiert hat und dessen Wachstum fördert. In Workshops, Webinaren und über die im Rahmen des Projekts aufgebaute Dialogplattform wird ein Forum geboten, das akademischen Einrichtungen in Deutschland den Austausch über ORCID ermöglicht. Durch Handreichungen, wie z. B. ein datenschutzrechtliches Gutachten, unterstützt das Projekt ORCID DE die Einführung von ORCID an Hochschulen und außeruniversitären Forschungseinrichtungen in Deutschland. Das DINI-initiierte Projekt ORCID DE wurde seit Mai 2016 für drei Jahre von der DFG gefördert. Als Projektpartner haben die Deutsche Nationalbibliothek, das Helmholtz Open Science Koordinationsbüro am Deutschen GeoForschungsZentrum GFZ sowie die Universitätsbibliothek Bielefeld mit der Verknüpfung der Gemeinsamen Normdatei (GND) und ORCID sowie dem Aufbau eines nationalen Claiming Service für die Bielefeld Academic Search Engine (BASE) ORCID erfolgreich in zentralen Informationsinfrastrukturen verankert.
