Abstract

Abstract This study analyzed the relationship between the right of citizen participation and the Youth Auditors program among students in the Tacna region, Peru. Using a non-experimental cross-sectional design with a quantitative correlational approach, the sample included 55 participants involved in the program's implementation. Data were collected through validated questionnaires with a Cronbach's Alpha exceeding 0.9, ensuring reliability. Descriptive results showed that 58.2% of respondents rated both the right of citizen participation and the Youth Auditors program as "regular." Inferential analysis revealed a moderate and significant relationship between the two variables, with a Spearman's Rho coefficient of 0.472 and a significance level of p = 0.001. Additionally, the dimensions of educational goods and services management and public service performance also demonstrated moderate positive relationships with the program. The conclusions emphasized the importance of strengthening civic knowledge and participation practices from an early age, fostering greater civic awareness, and improving educational management. This enables students to play an active role in social oversight and the continuous improvement of school institutions.
