Abstract

Ich habe bei dem Diskurs über Schwarze Identität in Deutschland ein Problem mit der Ausblendung der afrikanischen Einwanderung nach Deutschland. In meinen Augen ist das ein doppelter Ausschluss. In seiner Tendenz kann der Diskurs über afrodeutsche Identität schnel eine essenzialistische Note bekommen, sogar eine nationalistische. Denn damit werden die antikolonialen Kämpfe afrikanischer Studierender und Aktivisten, die bis ins 19. Jahrhundert zurückgehen, in den Hintergrund gedrängt – man denke zum Beispiel nur an Rudolf Duala Manga Bel, der von der deutschen Besatzungsmacht in Kamerun 1914 hingerichtet wurde.
