Calibrating chemical mixing induced by internal gravity waves based on hydrodynamical simulations

Abstract

Computational setup of Mombarg, Varghese & Ratnasingam (2025, A&A). Following items are included: inlist_template_IGWmix: MESA r24.03.1 inlist used for non-rotating models with internal gravity wave (IGW) mixing included. inlist_template_IGWrot: MESA r24.03.1 inlist used for rotating models without IGW mixing included. run_star_extras: MESA implementation to compute the chemical diffusion coefficient predicted from IGW mixing (parameter A should set in inlist) MESA_models_MVR2024.zip: computed MESA models as presented in the paper. Example of file naming, M3_O0.0_Z0.02_fov0.02_nodiff_IGWmix_massloss_m-correction_4-14uHz_mmax1_A1d-3: 3Msun, 0% initial critical rotation, metallicity 0.02 (mass fraction), exponential overshoot f_ov = 0.02, IGW frequencies 4 to 14 uHz with m_max =1, constant A = 10^-3.
