Abstract

Microscopy dataset to accompany 'Symplastic guard cell connections buffer pressure fluctuations to promote stomatal function in grasses'. This dataset consists of images of barley (files beginning with the nomenclature: 'Hv_...') and onion (files starting: 'Ac_...') stomata. Meshes of guard cell geometry used to create biomechanical models were extracted from these images. MorphoDynamX and MorphoMechanX code used in 'Symplastic guard cell connections buffer pressure fluctuations to promote stomatal function in grasses' is available at: https://github.com/mtomtom/symplastic-guard-cell-connections.
