Abstract

Resumen La evaluación formativa y su aplicación en las aulas son una tendencia actual en la educación, donde los docentes tienen el reto de aplicarla de manera adecuada para evaluar a sus estudiantes. Esto constituye un desafío considerando el desconocimiento que se tiene sobre el tema. Por ello, este trabajo tiene el propósito de explorar los retos de la evaluación formativa en estudiantes de secundaria en los últimos años, analizar cuál es la situación en nuestro país y en otros países, examinar cómo diversos autores perciben la evaluación formativa, identificar los aspectos que se destacan en esta práctica y reconocer sus limitaciones. Se ha seguido la metodología de revisión bibliográfica de publicaciones en bases de datos como Scopus, SciELO, WoS, Dialnet y EBSCO. En las conclusiones se destacó que los diversos estudios consideran a la evaluación formativa como una herramienta clave para el logro de los aprendizajes y el desarrollo de las competencias, destacando a la retroalimentación formativa como parte esencial de esta estrategia.

Abstract Formative assessment and its application in the classroom is a current trend in education, where teachers face the challenge of applying it in an adequate way to evaluate their students. This is a challenge considering the lack of knowledge on the subject. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to explore the challenges of formative assessment in high school students in recent years, to analyze the situation in our country and in other countries, to examine how different authors perceive formative assessment, to identify the aspects that stand out in this practice and to recognize its limitations. The methodology followed was a bibliographic review of publications in databases such as Scopus, SciELO, WoS, Dialnet and EBSCO. The conclusions highlighted that the various studies consider formative assessment as a key tool for the achievement of learning and the development of competencies, highlighting formative feedback as an essential part of this strategy.
