Empfehlungen zur Gestaltung des institutionellen Publikationskostenmonitorings

Abstract

Das durch die Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) geförderte Projekt Transform2Open nimmt die finanzielle Dimension der Open-Access-Transformation in den Blick. Das Projekt verfolgt das Ziel, zur Weiterentwicklung von Budgets, Kriterien und Kompetenzen beizutragen und Verfahren zur Förderung der Kostentransparenz auf lokaler, nationaler und internationaler Ebene voranzubringen. Die Empfehlungen zur Gestaltung des institutionellen Publikationskostenmonitorings richten sich an Hochschul- bzw. Einrichtungsleitungen und bieten eine fundierte Einführung in das Konzept des Informationsbudgets mit dem besonderen Fokus auf die Kosten für das wissen­schaftliche Publizieren. Die Handreichung liefert praxisnahe Empfehlungen für den Aufbau eines effektiven Publikationskostenmonitorings und die Einführung eines Informationsbudgets und unterstützt damit die individuelle strategische Ausrichtung der wissenschaftlichen Einrichtung in einer zunehmend offenen und dynamischen Publikationslandschaft.
