Abstract

Este artigo apresenta uma análise de confiabilidade focada no modo de falha primário da frota de caminhões fora de estrada Caterpillar 793D, com foco na redução da probabilidade de falhas, uma vez que estas acarretam custos associados. A eficácia das atividades de manutenção corretiva é avaliada pela disponibilidade dos equipamentos. Neste contexto, o estudo utilizou técnicas de análise de falhas aplicada ao sistema elétrico dos caminhões, para identificar os mecanismos prioritários que mais afetavam a disponibilidade operacional da frota. Neste aspecto foram empregados conceitos essenciais de manutenção corretiva e preventiva, indicadores de manutenção (MTBF, MTTR, disponibilidade física, taxa de falhas) e ferramentas como o diagrama de Pareto, Análise de Modos e Efeitos de Falha (FMEA) e o ciclo PDCA como metodologia de gestão e melhoria contínua. O estudo fornece uma visão abrangente da importância da manutenção, destacando ferramentas e métodos para identificar, analisar e corrigir falhas em sistemas e equipamentos industriais.
