Abstract Cognitive processes occurring in the nervous system involve the acquisition, processing of information from the environment, as well as its use for a specific purpose. The quality and speed of the occurrence of this process will determine the interaction with the environment, and about it the accuracy of responses to stimuli. Physical activity has a positive effect on the volume of selected parts of the brain and the presence in the blood of such substances as BDNF and IGF proteins, which has a positive effect on the quality of cognitive processes taking place in the central nervous system.
