Abstract

Das Poster präsentiert das Projekt "Edition Open Access" (EOA). Dieses ist einerseits ein Portal, das Open-Access-Projekten, die im Einklang mit der Berliner Erklärung der Max-Planck-Gesellschaft von 2003 stehen, eine Möglichkeit zur Darstellung und Vernetzung bietet. Andererseits betreibt und entwickelt die EOA auch eine eigene Publikationsplattform für Open-Access-Monographien, die es nicht nur erlaubt, Werke als PDF oder EPUB herunterzuladen, sondern auch eine innovative HTML-Ansicht bietet: Neben der Möglichkeit, absatzgenau zu zitieren, ist der Text nativ in das World Wide Web eingebettet und kann damit leichter verbreitet und nachgenutzt werden als eine PDF-Datei. Derzeit nutzen zwei Publikationsinitiativen diese Plattform: die "Max Planck Research Library for the History and Development of Knowledge" sowie die "Edition Open Sources". Dank der Förderung durch das BMBF wird die Publikationsplattform derzeit überarbeitet und Ende 2019 als Open-Source-Software veröffentlicht werden. Gleichzeitig wird auch der Workflow zur Bearbeitung der Manuskripte auf die Arbeit mit XML-Dokumenten nach TEI-P5-Richtlinien umgestellt, einem in den Geisteswissenschaften stark verbreiteten Format zur standardisierten Auszeichnung von Texten. In Arbeit ist zusätzlich eine Plattform für interaktive Publikationen auf Grundlage von Jupyter Notebooks. Durch die Verschränkung von Text und ausführbarem Computercode wird ein weiteres innovatives Publikationsformat entwickelt, das sich vor allem für die Dokumentation von computergestützter Forschung eignet.
