Digitale Services Und Open Access Für Die Geowissenschaften

Abstract

Der Fachinformationsdienst Geowissenschaften der festen Erde FID GEO bietet Beratung und Services in den Bereichen Elektronisches Publizieren, Digitalisieren sowie Publikation von Forschungsdaten für die geowissenschaftliche Community in Deutschland. Elektronisches Publizieren Der FID GEO bietet die elektronische Publikation über das gesamte Spektrum wissenschaftlicher Veröffentlichungen von institutionellen Serien, Zeitschriften, Monographien bis zur Zweitveröffentlichung begutachteter Forschungsarbeiten an. Die Dokumente werden im Fachrepositorium des FID GEO im Open Access zur Verfügung gestellt. Publikation von Forschungsdaten Der FID GEO berät und informiert zum Thema Publikation von Forschungsdaten. Darüber hinaus können geowissenschaftliche Forschungsdaten über den FID GEO veröffentlicht werden. Dieser Service bezieht sich vor allem auf die Publikation von Daten, die Grundlage einer Textpublikation in einem Fachjournal sind. Wenn andere Daten veröffentlicht werden sollen, berät der FID GEO auch dazu. Digitalisierung von Text und Karten Der FID GEO bietet für geowissenschaftliche Einrichtungen oder Herausgeber wie z.B. Fachgesellschaften kostenlos die Digitalisierung ihrer bisher nur gedruckt vorhandenen institutionellen Serien und anderen Schriften an. Darüber hinaus bietet der FID GEO den Service, urheberrechtsfreie und bisher nur gedruckt vorhandene Fachliteratur und Karten, kostenlos „on demand” zu digitalisieren. Dieser Fachinformationsdienst ist ein Gemeinschaftsprojekt der Niedersächsischen Staats- und Universitätsbibliothek Göttingen und des Helmholtz-Zentrums Potsdam – Deutsches GeoForschungsZentrum GFZ.
