Deepgreen – Open Access Transformation

Abstract

Das DFG-geförderte Projekt DeepGreen hat das Ziel, wissenschaftliche Publikationen, die nach Ablauf einer Embargofrist lizenzrechtlich frei zugänglich gemacht werden dürfen, automatisiert in den Open Access zu transformieren. Zur Umsetzung dieses Vorhabens wurde in einer ersten Projektphase (2016-2017) bereits ein prototypischer Workflow entwickelt, um Publikationen von den Verlagen mittels einer Datendrehscheibe automatisiert an berechtigte Repositorien zu verteilen. Dabei konzentrierte sich das Projekt vorrangig auf die, überregional zwischen Verlagen und Bibliotheken verhandelten, Allianzlizenzen. Die zweite Projektphase (2018-2020) sieht vor, weitere Lizenzmodelle miteinzubeziehen und am Ende der Projektphase, DeepGreen in einen regulären Betrieb zu überführen. Für den Sommer 2019 ist der Beginn eines prototypischen Testbetriebs geplant. Das Projektkonsortium besteht aus sechs Institutionen: Kooperativer Bibliotheksverband Berlin-Brandenburg (KOBV) Bibliotheksverbund Bayern (BVB) Bayerische Staatsbibliothek (BSB) Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU) Technische Universität Berlin (TU Berlin) Helmholtz Open Science Koordinationsbüro am Deutschen GeoForschungsZentrum (GFZ)
