The general topic is management of the hybrid (combined virtual offsite / traditional ‘brick and mortar’) workforce in transnational organizations. Although studies support the need to understand managing virtual teams; e.g. Morley, Cormican, & Folan, 2015; the effects on organizational management when the virtual option of the hybrid (virtual / traditional) work policies is revised or revoked in transnational organizations require further research. Hence, the central question is to identify any effect on management when changes are made to the hybrid (virtual / traditional) work policy. The research questions are: Is management affected, if at all, when changes are made to the hybrid (virtual / traditional) work policy? If at all, what management decisions are made as a result of those changes?
