Programación culturalmente relevante. Una experiencia en el sur de la India.

Abstract

Después de varios años desarrollando proyectos de computación creativa en escuelas del sur de la India, hemos comprobado la importancia de tener en cuenta los elementos culturales locales en los procesos de enseñanza-aprendizaje. En nuestra última estancia en la región de Bangalore, en el marco del proyecto Inventors4Change, implementamos tres actividades diseñadas con el objetivo de conectar algunos elementos culturales significativos para los participantes con ideas de programación creativa y pensamiento computacional. En este artículo se explica el concepto de Computación Culturalmente Relevante, y se describen en detalle las propuestas y sus primeras implementaciones en diversas escuelas y organizaciones, lo que resultó en un total de nueve talleres realizados en diferentes contextos, con distintos equipos de docentes y con alumnado de diferentes edades. También se incluyen conclusiones sobre el impacto de emplear la Educación Culturalmente Relevante en los proyectos educativos que utilizan la tecnología para el aprendizaje creativo.
