DESIGUALDADES POR CONDICIÓN RACIAL EN EL COMPLEJO OSHA-IFÁ DE SAGUA LA GRANDE

Abstract

En la actualidad, las nuevas condiciones socioeconómicas favorecen la reproducción de desigualdades raciales, incluido el campo religioso. La investigación se propuso como objetivo describir las desigualdades por condición racial dentro del Complejo Osha-Ifá en Sagua la Grande, Villa Clara, Cuba. Se realizó un estudio descriptivo con un enfoque metodológico mixto entre 2020 y 2023 en diferentes espacios de culto y socialización (casas templo, residencias de reconocidos practicantes) dentro del Complejo Osha-Ifá, en su zona urbana. Participaron 60 practicantes del Complejo Osha-Ifá (41 % masculino y 19 % femenino) que incluyen: oloshas, iyaloshas, babaloshas, omó añas, babalawos y apetebís mediante un muestreo no probabilístico de carácter intencional con criterios de inclusión. Los instrumentos utilizados fueron la entrevista semi-estructurada, el cuestionario y el análisis de documentos. Se evidenciaron diferencias en niveles adquisitivos y por la mercantilización del hecho religioso entre practicantes de la Regla de Osha y la Regla de Ifá residentes dentro y fuera del país, lo que interseccionado por el color de piel de una y otra práctica, genera inequidades en su mayoría para las personas de tez negra y en menor medida, mestizas.
