Green logistics: reducing the carbon footprint of transportation

Abstract

The article discusses approaches to reducing the carbon footprint in logistics through the application of "green logistics" concepts. The sources of CO₂ emissions in transportation, their calculation methods, as well as technologies and strategies aimed at minimizing emissions are analyzed. Special attention is paid to multimodal transportation, digitalization of logistics processes and the introduction of renewable energy sources. The role of companies and public policy in promoting environmentally sustainable solutions is considered. Based on the conducted research, recommendations are proposed for the effective implementation of green technologies in the transport industry.
