Glaenocorisa propinqua (Fieber, 1860) (Fig. 7) Material examined. ROMANIA: Harghita County: Băile TuȘnad [Sfânta Ana Lake (=Sz. Anna)], 10.viii.1865?, 1 ♂, coll. Fuss, revid. P. Boda (HNHM); idem, 07.viii.1903, 1 ♂, coll. Horváth, revid. P. Boda (HNHM). Published records. Horváth (1897), Szilády (1904), Soós (1959, 1963), Jansson (1986, in map). General distribution. From southern England and southern Scandinavia to central Europe and the neighboring areas of European Russia (Jansson 1986, 1995). In Romania, this species is known only from the eastern Carpathians (Fig. 7). Remarks. All previous records refer to Glaenocorisa propinqua propinqua and are based on specimens collected from Sfânta Ana Lake, in the eastern Romanian Carpathians. Our recent attempts to rediscover this species failed; however, we did not use the traps which are more efficient in monitoring this pelagic species (cf. Papáček et al. 2009, Ditrich & Čihák 2017). Therefore, its recent occurrence needs further confirmation. The former subspecies G. propinqua cavifrons (Thomson, 1869), which occurs in the northernmost parts of the Holarctic Region, was elevated to species rank by Jansson (2000).
