Equilibrio ambiental y protección de las especies en Perú: El tiburón Selachimorpha como elemento fundamental para la preservación de la vida y de los ecosistemas

Abstract

El artículo tiene como objetivo analizar, desde una perspectiva crítica e interdisciplinar, la relevancia del equilibrio ambiental y la protección de las especies en Perú, enfocados principalmente en el tiburón Selachimorpha, depredador que cumple una función vital para la preservación de la vida y de los ecosistemas marinos. Para lograr tal fin, la investigación considera la relevancia del equilibrio en la relación hombre-naturaleza, como un cuestionamiento a las formas de explotación moderno-occidental. Entre los principales hallazgos se destaca que el tráfico de tiburones fomenta el crimen organizado, una actividad que no sólo es llevada a cabo para la exportación hacia al continente asiático, sino que se ha extendido a todo el continente americano. Por esta razón, es necesario la puesta en práctica de las normativas internacionales y nacionales, de modo que se resguarde la estabilidad de los ecosistemas marinos y se brinde sostenibilidad a las comunidades pesqueras. La falta de estas regulaciones puede afectar y acrecentar la vulnerabilidad de las especies marinas y del ser humano. La metodología empleada es la exploración documental. Finalmente, se concluye que, pese a la formulación de leyes y políticas internas, el Perú necesita hacer un frente activo para resguardar el equilibrio ambiental, para promover el desarrollo sostenible, brindando a generaciones futuras el derecho a disfrutar de la biodiversidad de la vida marina.
