Abstract

See the actual version: https://zenodo.org/records/14558995 Proposed correspondence between CNEFE 2022 variables and OpenStreetMap tags The IBGE, Brazil's national statistical institution, has carried out the 2022 Brazilian Demographic Census and one of the products is the updating of the data from the National Register of Addresses for Statistical Purposes (Cadastro Nacional de Endereços para Fins Estatísticos, CNEFE 2022), which serves as a reference for all the surveys carried out by the institute. This register includes data from the country's urban and rural regions, but it still has inconsistencies, which can be remedied by collaborative mapping. With this in mind, OpenStreetMap, the largest online platform for collaborative mapping today, provides the necessary structure for collecting and disseminating geospatial data on street addresses, regardless of the user's operating system or equipment. In order to import the CNEFE 2022 data into OSM, one of the pre-processing stages involves semantic compatibility between the CNEFE variables and the OSM tags. This is a proposal for harmonize CNEFE 2022 variables with OpenStreetMap tags (v. 4, October 15, 2024).
