
En este trabajo se presenta un repaso conciso a la metodología de reducción de modelos a priori basada en representaciones separadas, conocida como Descomposición Propia Generalizada (PGD, por sus siglas en inglés). Seguidamente, se propone una aproximación para resolver problemas de alto orden mediante el uso de polinomios de Hermite en el marco de una formulación de Galerkin. Esta aproximación se analiza en detalle utilizando dos problemas clásicos de validación: la flexión de una placa rectangular apoyada y la cavidad con pared móvil.
