This repository contains the datasets and code used in the research, Risks, Rates, and Rays: The Financial Realities of Brazil's Solar Revolution. The project explores how macroeconomic factors—such as inflation, and interest rates—impact the Levelised Cost of Energy (LCOE) for solar photovoltaic (PV) projects in Brazil. Using a three-tiered methodological approach, the study calculates Weighted Average Cost of Capital (WACC), estimates LCOE for auction-awarded solar PV projects (2014–2022), and projects financing scenarios for 2024–2029. The repository includes Jupyter Notebooks for WACC estimation, LCOE calculation, and scenario projections, alongside supporting datasets and output files. This work provides insights into the interplay of financing costs, policy frameworks, and macroeconomic stability in renewable energy adoption within emerging markets.
