
Puccinia iriensis Morim. Type:— Holotype in YAM; II, III on Carex maximowiczii Miq., Japan, Hiroshima Prefecture, Valley of Kaiji, 23 September 1960. Y. Morimoto. Isotype in HH (65013). Description:—See Morimoto (1962) and Hiratsuka et al. (1992). Hosts and distribution in Japan:—0, I on Smilax china L. (Hon); II, III on Carex dimorpholepis Steud. (Hon), C. maximowiczii Miq. var. maximowiczii (Hon) (Morimoto 1962, Hiratsuka et al. 1992) Notes:—Life cycle of this species was proved by Morimoto (1962). This species has been reported only from type locality, Hiroshima Prefecture.
