
Data Description This dataset accompanies the research paper "From Counting Stations to City-Wide Estimates: Data-Driven Bicycle Volume Extrapolation" (Kaiser, Klein and Kaack) and contains the two cleaned datasets used for the daily analysis of bicycle counts (for "all day" and "7-19h" periods). Contents of the Dataset Features: The datasets include all cleaned features obtained after the preprocessing step, resulting in 251 columns. These features correspond to the original 257 columns described in the paper, minus 10 columns that were dropped during preprocessing. Please refer to the paper for details. Note on Strava Features: The Strava-related features have been modified, as we are not permitted to publish the original values. These columns are included here solely to provide an impression of their structure and format. Additional Columns: Counter: The target feature representing bicycle counts. Counter Names: Identifies the specific counting station. Short-Term Counter Indicator: A boolean indicating whether the counter is a short-term counter. Date: The date corresponding to the recorded data.
