Images depict the roots of perennial ryegrass, grown in rhizoboxes. The roots were imaged five times over a 21-day growth period, starting at 4 days after sowing (DAS) and ending at 21 DAS. Images were captured in batches, as 240 lines were screened using 179 available rhizoboxes. The images are associated with the following publication:Malinowska, M., Kristensen, P. S., Nielsen, B., et al. (2024). "The Value of Early Root Development Traits in Breeding Programs for Biomass Yield in Perennial Ryegrass (Lolium perenne L.)".
