Abstract

Das BMBF-geförderte Projekt OLH-DE hat zum Ziel, konsortiale Modelle für die Förderung von Open Access insbesondere in den Geisteswissenschaften im deutschsprachigen Raum bekannter zu machen und die Anzahl der Unterstützer/innen solcher Modelle deutlich zu erhöhen. Darüber hinaus beinhaltet die Projektförderung finanzielle Mittel zur Transformation (deutschsprachiger) geisteswissenschaftlicher Zeitschriften auf das Open Library of Humanities Modell. Um Einsichten in die Situation, Organisation und Finanzierung von geisteswissenschaftlichen Zeitschriften, die Rolle der Herausgeber/innen, ihre Beziehungen zu den Verlagen und ihre Einstellung zu Open Access zu erlangen, wurden im Rahmen des Projekts Interviews und Befragungen durchgeführt. Dies umfasst zum einen intensive Interviews und eine elektronische Befragung von Herausgeber/innen geisteswissenschaftlicher Zeitschriften sowie Gespräche mit Entscheidungsträger/innen in Bibliotheken zur Bereitschaft der Förderung alternativer Open-Access-Modelle, insbesondere in den Geisteswissenschaften. Im Rahmen des Vortrags werden erste Ergebnisse dieser Interviews und Befragungen vorgestellt und diskutiert, inwieweit und unter welchen Voraussetzungen Modelle wie die Open Library of Humanities signifikant und nachhaltig zu mehr Open Access in den Geisteswissenschaften beitragen können.
