Wiederansiedlung von Seegraswiesen in der Westlichen Ostsee - Handreichung für Freizeittauchende

Abstract

Dieses Dokument ist Teil der Handreichung "Wiederansiedlung von Seegraswiesen“, die im BMBF-geförderten Projekt SeaStore entstanden ist und die auf den Erfahrungen der ersten 4 Jahre des Projekts basieren. Diese Handreichung geht auf folgende Punkte ein: (i) die Auswahl von Standorten, (ii) die Beantragung von Genehmigungen, (iii) eine möglichst schonende Ernte von Spenderpflanzen, (iv) eine Pflanzmethode zur Optimierung des Wiederansiedlungserfolgs, (v) die Durchführung einer abschließenden Validierung der bepflanzten Wiese und (vi) Aufzeichnung relevanter Informationen über das wiederhergestellte Gebiet und die Spenderwiese. Das vorliegende Dokument enthält die relevanten Inhalte nach aktuellem Wissensstand für Freizeittauchende, die Seegras wiederansiedeln möchten. Die Inhalte werden zukünftig auf der Grundlage des wissenschaftlichen Fortschritts und der praktischen Erfahrungen aktualisiert. This document is part of the handbook ‘Restoration of seagrass meadows’, which was developed in the BMBF-funded SeaStore project and is based on the experiences of the first 4 years of the project. These guidelines address the following points: (i) the selection of sites, (ii) applying for permits, (iii) harvesting donor plants as carefully as possible, (iv) a planting method to optimise the success of the restoration, (v) carrying out a final validation of the planted meadow and (vi) recording relevant information about the restored area and the donor meadow. This document contains the relevant content according to the current state of knowledge for recreational divers who want to restore seagrass. The content will be updated in the future based on scientific progress and practical experience. The handbook is targeted for the use in German Baltic waters and hence provided in German language.
