Abstract

Die Max Weber Stiftung setzt sich für eine offene Wissenschaft ein, in der möglichst alle Komponenten des Forschungsprozesses frei zugänglich, nachvollziehbar und nachnutzbar sind, um Forschung, Innovation und Transfer in Wissenschaft, Wirtschaft und interessierter Gesellschaft zu fördern. Die Stiftung versteht Open Access im Sinne der offenen Bereitstellung von und des freien Zugangs zu qualitätsgeprüften Publikationen unter standardisierten offenen Lizenzen als zentralen Baustein von Open Science und als Teil guter wissenschaftlicher Praxis. Die vorliegende Open Access-Policy leitet sich aus den Zielvereinbarungen der MWS mit dem Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung (BMBF), dem Nachhaltigkeitskonzept und der Strategie der MWS bis zum Jahr 2030 ab.
