Abstract

This article describes the research process and various stages of production for the course "Scoring Instrumental Accompaniments for Vocal Music," designed to support conductors of vocal and instrumental groups. Developed within the Professional Master's Program Music Teaching Musical (PROEMUS) at the Federal University of State of Rio de Janeiro (UNIRIO), the course is based on the Design Science Research methodology. It consists of eighteen instructional videos featuring examples in scores and audio from the Seventh-day Adventist Hymnal (2022 edition). During the research, conductors were interviewed about their needs and challenges in creating and acquiring instrumental arrangements. The article also discusses the equipment, software, and resources used in the process, the expected outcomes, and the two evaluation stages.
