Since its creation in 2007, the Individualized Music Therapy Assessment Profile (IMTAP) has been widely used around the world, and in Brazil its application increased after the translated version made by Silva, in 2012. However, a systematic review demonstrated that in many cases, such application occurs in an erroneous manner, not consistent with what was proposed by the original authors. Aiming to assist in this point, an IMTAP Instruction Manual was created and submitted for evaluation by ten music therapist judges, who, through analysis and filling out a questionnaire, verified content validity for its content.
