The investigation sought to analyze the arrangement of the textural elements present in the song “Maria Tereza”, by Altamiro Carrilho, recorded by Turma da Gafieira in 1957. Based on the proposal for textural elements analysis created by Trajano (2022), it was possible to understand the textural structuring present in one of the first sambajazz arrangements, as well as highlighting the importance of the accompaniment plan for the formation of the genre.

A investigação buscou analisar a disposição dos elementos de textura presentes na música “Maria Tereza”, de Altamiro Carrilho, gravada pela Turma da Gafieira em 1957. A partir da proposta de análise de elementos texturais elaborada por Trajano (2022), foi possível entender a estruturação textural presente em um dos primeiros arranjos do sambajazz, assim como ressaltou a importância do plano de acompanhamento para a formação do gênero.
