Factores determinantes de la motivación académica en estudiantes de educación técnica

Abstract

El objeto de este estudio fue identificar y estudiar los factores que determinan la motivación académica en estudiantes de educación técnica de una institución educativa pública peruana, empleando métodos de investigación cualitativa. Para ello, se desarrolló una investigación de tipo cualitativo, con un alcance descriptivo-exploratorio. Además, tuvo un diseño fenomenológico y se empleó como técnica de recolección la entrevista semiestructurada, realizada a 15 alumnos de quinto de secundaria y a 3 docentes del área de educación técnica. Los resultados de la investigación evidencian que el soporte práctico, la definición de metas claras, el apoyo del profesor y la existencia de recursos son factores importantes para la motivación. Sin embargo, las dificultades económicas, la falta de recursos materiales y el apoyo familiar también actúan como motivadores significativos. A partir de estos hallazgos, se plantea la necesidad de mejorar los contextos de aprendizaje y las políticas de soporte relacionadas con la educación técnica en dicha institución.
