Abstract

O presente artigo se articula com a temática que envolve o diálogo sobre práticas culturais e Educação, focando em particular os limites e possibilidades da capoeira na formação de crianças. Este tema tem como objetivo geral à proposição de analisar as perspectivas da ação pedagógica no campo da cultura corporal em Educação Infantil. Neste sentido, buscaremos dialogar com alguns autores, apresentando alternativas a partir da prática da capoeira, enfocando seus movimentos, sua musicalidade e o “ritual” da roda, como fontes para o desenvolvimento humano e conseqüentemente das estratégias e métodos que permeiam as instituições formais para o referido público em questão.

This article is linked to the debate about cultural practices within formal education, with particular focus on the limits and possibilities of capoeira training of children. This theme has as its main goal to analyze the prospects for pedagogical action in the field of physical culture in early childhood education. In this sense, dialogue with other authors, presenting alternatives from the capoeira practice, focusing on the movements, the musicality and the so called “wheel ritual”, as sources for human development and, therefore, as the strategies and methods for formal educational institutions and its stakeholders.
