
Given the different approaches regarding the historical importance andlegal primacy of some documents created during the Romanian Revolutionof December 1989, the present study aimed to analyze the content of thesedocuments and the context in which they were developed, the main goalbeing the identification of the ideals and the popular aspirations containedin the programmatic documents of the Romanian Revolution of December1989. Once these aspects were clarified, the second stage of the research wasdedicated to the analysis of the way in which the revolutionary ideals weretransposed in the normative acts and governing decisions adopted between26-31 December 1989. Of course, all this after a prior clarification of the widerange of opinions expressed in the specialized doctrine regarding the meaningand importance of the ideals of the Revolution of December 1989 in the effortto establish a new legal regime in Romania.
