Abstract

Dünya genelinde bilgi ve teknoloji alanında yaşanan hızlı değişim, her alanda yeniliği zorunlu kılmıştır. Yaşanan bu dönüşümle birlikte geleneksel kariyer yaklaşımı güncelliğini yitirmiş ve birbirinden farklı yeni kariyer kuramları ortaya atılmıştır. Gerek akademik çalışmalar, gerekse iş yaşamındaki uygulamalar kariyer anlayışının yeni kariyer kuramlarına doğru ilerlediğini ortaya koymaktadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, güncel literatür doğrultusunda yeni kariyer kuramlarının nasıl evrildiğini ve çeşitlendiğini aktüel bir bakış açısı ile ele alarak, alan yazınına katkıda bulunmaktır. Bir diğer amacı ise, incelenen kuramların çalışanların ve örgütlerin üzerine olan etkisini incelemektir. Bu çalışmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden betimleyici analiz yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Bu çalışma yerli ve yabancı ikincil kaynaklardan literatür taraması yapılarak oluşturulmuş bir derleme makalesidir. Yapılan araştırmalarda yeni kariyer kuramlarının çalışanların ve örgütlerin daha etkin ve verimli olmasını sağladığı ile ilgili birçok bulgu mevcuttur. Bununla birlikte yeni kariyer kuramlarının çalışanların örgütsel bağlılıklarını zayıflatması, onları sosyal güvenceden mahrum bırakması gibi olumsuz yönlerinin bulunduğu sonucuna da ulaşılmıştır. Bu alanda yapılan tartışmalara ve elde edilen bulgulara rağmen, yeni kariyer kuramlarının ilerleyen dönemlerde de tartışılmaya ve çalışma hayatında varlığını sürdürmeye devam edeceği düşünülmektedir.

The rapid change in information and technology around the world has necessitated innovation in every field. As a result of this change, the traditional career approach has become outdated and new career theories that are different from each other have been put forward. Both academic studies and practices in business life reveal that the understanding of career is progressing towards new career theories. The aim of this study is to contribute to the literature by addressing from a current perspective how new career theories evolve and diversify in line with current literature. Another purpose is to examine the effects of the theories examined on employees and organizations. In this study, the descriptive analysis method, which is one of the qualitative research methods, was used. This study is a compilation article created by scanning the literature from domestic and foreign secondary sources. In the studies conducted, there are many findings that new career theories enable employees and organizations to be more effective and efficient. However, it has also been concluded that new career theories have negative aspects such as weakening the organizational commitment of employees and depriving them of social security. Despite the discussions and findings in this field, it is thought that new career theories will continue to be discussed and continue to exist in working life in the future
