Habitar migrante: prácticas de apropiación del espacio urbano de migrantes venezolanos en Quito

Abstract

Este escrito se propone comprender como se construye el habitar y los procesos de apropiación espacial de la población migrante venezolana en espacios urbanos de Quito, Ecuador. Para eso usamos la discusión teórica de Henry Lefebvre sobre la producción social del espacio y sus componentes: el espacio concebido, espacio vivido, el espacio percibido, aunado a los conceptos de habitar y apropiación. La idea es inscribir una perspectiva nueva al fenómeno de las migraciones en Latinoamérica uniendo los estudios urbanos y los estudios sobre migraciones. Para esto, nos situamos en una metodología de tipo cualitativo, que reúne técnicas como la entrevista y observación, con la intensión de argumentar que la construcción del habitar surge de una apropiación espacial que incluyen formas de relacionarse, vivir, usar el espacio por parte de las/los migrantes, frente a las dinámicas propias de los locales y la visión sobre espacio urbano desde el Estado.
